Nouvelles tables anatomiques is a remarkable example of seventeenth-century anatomical visualization. According to the NLM description, the work consists of 16 individual anatomical plates, several of which can be combined to form complete human figures. The plates were drawn by Bourdon himself, created on copperplate using the etching needle and burin, and signed by the engraver Daniel Le Bossu.

The images in this work include anatomical engravings related to the muscular system, skeleton, circulatory system, nervous system, respiratory structures, internal organs, head and neck anatomy, and selected reproductive and embryological subjects. These images are not presented as substitutes for modern anatomical references. Instead, they are shared as historical visual materials that help us understand anatomy teaching, medical illustration, and the representation of the human body in the early modern period.
